Hidden in plain site: The forgotten Christians of Pakistan.
When Pakistan was formed in 1947, 14% of the 40 million population were Christians or Hindus . Now it is about 3% of the population of 200 million. Why?
Dr Peter Lingwood will describe what it is like to live in poverty and be a persecutedChristian in Pakistan and what the UK Charity Aqueduct is doing to encourage them.
Many of the things we take for granted everyday are just dreams for our brothers and sisters in Pakistan. Aqueduct Charity is working to alleviate poverty in Pakistan, creating jobs and transforming lives and providing education and vocational training. Dr Peter Lingwood has spent much time working with the Christian minority in Pakistan and will speak of the Charity's work on Thursday 9 June at 7pm at St Joseph's Presbytery. Everyone is most welcome.
