Tuesday 31st October – For Better, for Worse… 7pm Mass with opportunity for couples to renew their commitment to one another, followed by session on the Vocation of Marriage, led by Stephen & Anna Pendlebury, Martin & Veronica Ferguson, and Pat Chamberlain: “The secrets of success from more than fifty years of married life…” at St John’s Hospice, Slyne Road, Lancaster LA2 6ST.
Wednesday 1st November ALL SAINTS DAY – I want to be in that number… 7pm Mass followed by All Saints’ party. Children (and adults) may dress up as their favourite saints. Jacobs Join; please bring a dish to share and your own drinks. Launch of Saints Top Trumps game. Drama by the youth group. At St Joseph’s Church, Slyne Road, Lancaster LA1 2HU.
Thursday 2nd November ALL SOULS DAY – Beyond the Veil: Life in the Cloister 7pm Mass followed by workshop on the Vocation to Religious Life, led by Sr Michaela Toulmin and Bernardine Oblate, Frances Dawbarn. At Monastery of Our Lady of Hyning, Warton, nr Carnforth LA5 9SE. Please meet at St Josephs at 6.30pm if you require transport or if you can provide a lift for others to Hyning.
Friday 3rd November – What’s behind the Collar? 7pm Mass celebrated by Canon John Watson, the Diocesan Vocations Director, followed by session on Vocation to Priesthood & Diaconate, led by Fr Philip Conner & Canon Watson. At St Joseph’s Church, Slyne Road, Lancaster LA1 2HU.
Saturday 4th November FIRST SATURDAY Rosary before Mass, 10am Mass followed by Benediction and Prayer for Vocations. Confessions before and after Mass. At St Joseph’s Church, Slyne Road, Lancaster LA1 2HU.
